I know this will just enhance my reputation for picking on the dead. But...
Charlie Norwood's obituary mentions what he was most proud of in his time as a representative.
"Mr. Norwood prided himself on serving his northeast Georgia district, promoting his success in cutting through federal regulations a decade ago to allow a constituent to bring home a stuffed polar bear the man had killed on a hunting trip in Canada."
Wow--I don't know if Georgia can find that kind of leadership elsewhere!

Instead of pointing to some historical insignificance, here is a Democrat who is serving in the US Congress TODAY! Now this guy gets voted in by Democrats, election after election, because they know he'll support their moronic policies. Maybe he feels guilty about his actions and is trying to compensate by supporting dumb "ethical" legislation such as the minimum wage? Democrats...you wanted them, now you've got them.

ReplyDeleteI suppose that raising the minimum wage has no effect on the wages slightly above the new level, because there's no way they'd be driven up by raising the minimum wage.
ReplyDeleteToo bad, that might have worked out nicely. I mean, I thought based on my rudimentary understand of economics that raising the minimum wage would push other wages up too, but now that anonymous tells us all the money's going to Lil Jon, I'll have to shut up.
