Anthropology

I know that it has been several weeks since I've said anything here. There are several reasons for this. Most of them I don't particularly want to go into.

However, I just have a quick question. Has there been even 1 anthropology book over the last 20 years that doesn't have the word "I" on every page? Why can't these people just tell their stories with referring to themselves all the time? I know this is disciplinary bias showing, but it is really frustrating to pick up a book thinking it is going to give some useful information and tell some interesting stories and then have the entire book be about the author's navel-gazing experiences.
