Reasons To Feel Good About 2008

It's a rare day when I agree with Bob Novak. But he's right in his analysis of the corruption of the Republican leadership. Novak rips the congressional Republicans for keeping the same people in power that led them to defeat last Tuesday. From my perspective of course, this is a good thing. I have little doubt that the next 2 years will see more Republican scandals come to light and a Republican minority in Congress unwilling to cut even their most egregious ties to corruption and lobbyists. Who knows where the nation will be in 2008. But I have a good feeling that the nation's voters will continue to see the Democratic Party as a better option than corrupt, misguided, warlike Republicans.
