Moneyball the Movie?

Via Reel Fanatic, it seems that Steven Soderbergh is going to turn Moneyball into a movie, with Brad Pitt playing Billy Beane. Note that it's at the bottom of the link.

Like Fast Food Nation, I have no idea how someone is going to try and turn this book into a film. Other than that it completely lacks dramatic tension, has no obvious story line, and is entirely about an intellectual change in how we should think about baseball players, it's a brilliant idea! I guess Fast Food Nation wasn't terrible as a movie, but it was also pretty unnecessary even though it did touch on some good political points. I can only imagine this being even less essential.
