Inaugurating the new Yankee Stadium

While not a Pavano no-hitter, this was about as ideal and fantastic inaugural game at the new Yankee Stadium as I ever could have hoped for. And while my expectations for an Indians finish may have been way off, I believe I had the status of the Yankees middle relief pegged. And no matter what happens this season or beyond, you can't take away the fact that the Indians killed the Yankees to open their new stadium any more than you can take away this record-setting night or George Steinbrenner's 76th birthday.

Or, to paraphrase and cop a pop-culture reference: New stadium: $1.5 billion. Two new starters and a new 1st baseman: $423.5 million. Losing 10-2 in your home opener to a team that was 2-7: Priceless.
