Lest we forget...

While the figure of Martin Luther King, Jr. has dominated the civil rights narrative, it is worth remembering the man beyond one day in January each year.

It was 39 years ago today that King was murdered. We should remember the man, his legacy, and all the different civil rights activists, with their different viewpoints, opinions, and ideologies, more than we do.
