Viva Nuevo Mexico (VI)

In Ojo Caliente recently (about an hour north of Santa Fe), a 28 year old man who worked for the school district (perhaps a bus driver) and a 16 year old girl were found out having a relationship. While in most communities this is seen as statutory rape and just a disturbing act, not so in Ojo Caliente. The relationship, publicly known throughout the community, split the town as a large percentage of the residents found it perfectly appropriate for a 16 year old girl to have consensual relations with a 28 year old man.
