Biden the Racist

Although on some issues I've had begrudging respect for Joe Biden, ever since he decided that he was interested in running for president again, he's continued to put his foot in his mouth. This time, he laments the fact that Delaware didn't join the Confederacy while giving a speech in South Carolina.

I'll bet African-Americans would love a Biden presidency. It would remind them of the halcyon days of the 1910s when the Republican Party had abandoned them in favor of racism and the Democrats still clung to pure white supremacy. The parties would be reversed this time but the effect would be the same!

I guess there is someone I would support Evan Bayh over.
