Historical Image of the Day



Timucua hunting party. You can see them on the left side of the river covered in deer skins, which was how the Timucua hunted. This people, who lived in northeastern Florida, were extinct by the mid 18th century, mostly as a result of the Columbian Exchange, which wiped out native peoples across the Americas through disease.
