Ryan Howard?

Albert Pujols won the NL MVP award, as was appropriate.

Those who voted Ryan Howard as MVP should have their ballots stripped. I know the Phillies were a good team and that Howard hit 48 home runs. But his .251/.339/.543 is not particularly impressive. It was his worst OPS of his career and almost 100 points worse than 2007. Meanwhile Pujols hit a ridiculous .357/.462/.653 for an OPS of 1.115, the best season of his Hall of Fame career. Also, I can play a better defensive first base than Ryan Howard. Howard shouldn't have been in the top 5 in voting, not to mention #2. He wasn't even the best player on his own team. He was probably 3rd, behind Utley and maybe Lidge.
