Curiouser and Curiouser...

Interesting, isn't it, that the day that it becomes apparent that the Democrats will hold the house, and have majorities on all committees, greatly increasing the opportunity to investigate the current white house, that Donald Rumsfeld (who, according to Bush, "isn't going anywhere" even when the independent military newspapers were calling for his head) suddenly resigns...it couldn't have ANYTHING to do with the possibility that he's basically done the worst of all possible jobs over the last 5 years, NOR with the fact he could now actually have to face questions from a living, breathing Congress......just pure chance. That's all.

In a related story, Rumsfeld's resignation is big enough that, not only is it making news here in Brazil, it is, as I write this, the top story on all major Brazilian media websites.

Fast times, indeed....
