Richard Pombo, Gone

I'll have more posts on the election later today as well. But for now, let me say how happy I am that the wretched Richard Pombo lost in California's 11th Congressional District. Pombo, chair of the House Resources Committee, had long made it his goal to eviscerate the nation's environmental laws, attacking the Park Service, the Endangered Species Act, and nearly every attempt by the federal government to regulate land use. His loss is especially sweet.
