Link of the Day: The Election of 1800

Mark Graber has an excellent post at Balkinization about the election of 1800. He argues that the election went to the Jeffersonians because of the extra representation given the South by the 3/5 clause. This is an argument I can buy and in fact will emphasize much more the next time I teach the 1st half of the U.S. history survey.
