Morocco Blogging; or, The World Does Seem to Slowly Get Better

Since I haven't had a Morocco post in awhile, or in fact, never, I thought I'd link to this post about the first female to ever get nominated as a governor there.

Although it's hard to remain optimistic about the world if you pay attention to the news, I have to believe that very, very slowly, the world is getting better. For all the negative, little events and milestones like this are actually huge. I'm sure there are some outraged fundamentalists in Morocco but the fact that she has been nominated really is a pretty big deal.

Of course, you could also say that the world is getting worse with North Korea testing a nuclear bomb but I prefer to remain blindly optimistic.
