RIP--CBGB's

Well, after a lot of rumors of the famed punk club closing, it appears that CBGB's will finally shut its doors. It's a shame, I guess, but is the natural progression of places like this. They fought for a long time to keep it open and, with the protests from both fans and artists, they won a lot of battles. Good for them. Patty Smith will be officiating the "funeral." In a disgusting turn, club owner Hilly Kristal's plan is to move the club to Vegas. It's going to be great seeing the surviving Ramones spinning the roulette wheels until it's time for them to go on for their reunion, with Billy Joe from Green Day taking Joey's place. Maybe they'll redub him, one night only, as Shitty Ramone.
