Color Me Intrigued

I love the Black Keys. Their dirty, fuzzed-out, blues-rock is some of the best (and, in a time of overproduced, emotionless blues, "freshest") stuff there is out there. They absolutely tear the roof off in their live shows, their music is carnal, dirty, and great, and not one of their four albums is less than excellent. I knew they were working on their new album with Danger Mouse (DangerDoom, Gorillaz, Gnarls Barkley), and they were apparently going to have Ike Turner on the album prior to his untimely death. It's no surprise that Tom Waits musician Ralph Carney is on the album (he is, after all, Black Keys drummer Pat Carney's uncle). But Marc Ribot? 18-year old bluegrass singer Jessica Lea Mayfield? I'm fascinated...can't wait for April 1 release date.
