Happy Smurfin' Birthday

It's finally happened. Our little animated practitioners of Marxist ideology are turning fifty this year. It seems like only yesterday that their patented brand of sickly-sweet socialism was making me ill as a child. Twenty years later, and fifteen since the death of Peyo, the original strip artist, get to endure a whole bunch of marketing on their behalf. This will include a 3D animated movie, which I just can't wait for. Having thrown off the chains of the proletariat, our little blue buddies are all grown up fully part of the bourgeoisie. What does Gargamel have to fight against now?
