I don’t know what more to say about Aphex Twin that hasn’t been said. He’s my favorite electronic musician, and his influence on modern musicians ranges all over the place, from Radiohead to Squarepusher. The only thing I can add here is that people often cite his ambient works and his Richard D. James albums as his best, but I Care Because You Do, which has “Wax the Nip,” is one of his best works and, while not ignored, is not as frequently mentioned as his other highlights, and it should be.
